Not so zatarishApr 05, 2008

I ordered this thinking its the closest i can get to the one i am used to back home. But i was dissappointed, it wasn't salty enough nor did it have the right mix of herbs. So i started adding more salt, more semmac adn more sesame since i can't quite figure out the herb missing. I got used to it now and am using it to garnish pizza, pasta, as a paste with pitta bread, and to make pies. I'd recomend this as a last choice for a zaatar brand.

Did not like itNov 29, 2010
By BT Our family really likes the taste of Zatar. This was the first time we'd used this particular brand. It's bitter and not very good. Wish I hadn't stocked up on this one!
Great tasting ZaaterNov 25, 2011
By Zane L. Bitterfield Great taste! Excellent price. I've used up 3 bottles on my middle east lamb dishes so far. I ntend to buy it again and want to investigate what else they sell.

MiddleEasternChallahMay 16, 2009
By Mark D. Loveland Dear Amazon:
Thank you for coming through, once again, with an outstanding product offering. For my class in Artisan Bread Baking, I scaled up a bulk-fermented formula for an authentic Jewish Challah Braid, and via a book also purchased on Amazon entitled "The Secret of Challah," realized the Lebanese spice blend of "Za'atar" in application to the "traditional" and egg-rich loaf. I received kudos for my contribution to our pot-luck dinner ... a "keeper"(!) Again, Amazon, thank you for your offerings(!!)
Best always,
Mark Loveland
