Oatmeal originated in Scotland centuries ago and was different from our modern rolled oats. A coarse meal was produced by slowly grinding the kernel between two large mill stones. Our Scottish Oatmeal is produced in the same old fashioned way and contains all the health giving nutrients of the best quality oats from which it was ground--the germ, the oil and the fiber. Great Gift!Jan 09, 2012
By enjoytravel I bought this as a themed Christmas gift for my mother. She loved it!! The recipe for morning oatmeal was wonderful. It has just enough texture. She and I both will be ordering more in the future. It arrived on time and secured in a plastic bag to protect it from moisture.

By N. Knapp This is hands-down the best Oatmeal I have ever eaten, and I've tried McCann's, Quaker steel cut, our local organic, everything! It cooks in 4 minutes in the microwave (be SURE to stir it thoroughly after one minute to avoid clumping), and does NOT develop that sticky/gluey texture that all other oatmeal seems to have--now I finally understand that Scots' obsession with oatmeal for breakfast!
